Plum island

Treat yourself to an exceptional stay on Île au Prunes

Ile aux prunes is a desert island located 17 km from the port of Toamasina. It has an oval shape 400 meters wide and 2 kilometers long, surrounded by reefs. This beautiful little island covered with dense forest offers the opportunity for a day trip from Toamasina (45 minutes to 1 hour of navigation from the port).
It is also home to Africa's tallest lighthouse. The seabed is superb; a mask and a snorkel allow you to get up close and personal with the wonderful ocean fauna. On the island, you can walk in the forest to observe flying foxes or bats.
